Pen and watercolour on paper.
This painting is part of an ongoing body of work that began in 2016. The work reveals my findings as I continue to search for this bird of prey; cradling loss and exploring hope. For many years two adult Osprey occupied a large nest on top of a local sculpture, Egyptian Rowboat, (Denaro, 1999). When the City of Wanneroo removed the nest to clean the sculpture the birds disappeared (Jarvis, 2016). Late 2016 saw the gradual and brief return of these magnificent creatures, however, they are yet to rebuild the nest in that location.
