Woodstock, by Roula Chraim
Acrylics on Canvas / 45 cms x 59 cms
Between extensive traveling in Roula’s previous career and being displaced after her house was destroyed via war, “home” is a pivotal idea and crucial place that manifests from her psyche and heart in many of her works as well as in her life. Roula has a preference for abstracted human figures, buildings and compositions. Her passion for colour is displayed in her artwork along with her abstractions one will find a subtle quality that exudes sensuousness at its core, layered with romantic composure. This piece was painted in Montreal after a visit to Woodstock, upstate NY during Autumn where each leaf and each petal forms a beautiful colourful painting. The artist has tried to capture the essence of the foliage in this painting.
